 Shippers' Council Chief hails Magampura port
 

 


The Sri Lanka Shippers' Council Chairman Gehan Kuruppu on behalf of the committee and the members of the Council has congratulated the Government of Sri Lanka, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority and all the officials and his team on the commissioning and berthing of the first vessel at MAGAMPURA SEA PORT in Hambantota on the auspicious day of 18th November 2010.

"This is a Historical and Land Mark event that will change the Sri Lankan port history.  The service it will do to shipping industry and the contribution to the Development of the country's economy will be of great magnitude, along with the concept of the five fold Centers of progress envisioned by his Excellency the President of Sri Lanka.  As a premiere service organization to the Industry, our warm wishes are with you," SLSC Chairman Kuruppu said in a statement.
